Spring Break in Escondido, CA
This is my first (major) post so, I apologize if the formatting is terrible. I’m going to Escondido, CA for spring break. The trip will be taking place March 3rd - March 10th and I will be turning 21 on the 9th.
I have never been to California and I just recently found out that I will be traveling alone. I’m overwhelmed with emotion attempting to figure out what exactly am I going to do by myself in CA. I never been to the state before so, I’m unfamiliar with their “culture” and to be completely honest, I’m afraid.
I never expected nor imagined spending the entire week by myself. This brings me to my questions:
1) Will people look down on me for spending time alone?
2) How can I make this trip as fun as possible?
3) For those who have been in a situation similar to my own, how did you make the most of it?
4) What activities can I partake in that would still be fun?
5) Any ideas of what I should do on my 21st birthday?
6) Dumb question, how do I find people (my age) to hangout with?
At this point, I’m feeling defeated. I haven’t admitted to anyone (including my mother), that I have no clue what the fuck doing. My pride prevents me from confiding with anyone and writing this post was my last resort. I have so many more questions and my mind is racing at a million miles per hour. When I’m in Escondido, I don’t want to focus on the fact that my “friends” couldn’t celebrate my 21st with me. I just want to have a good time and make this Spring Break memorable.
