Hi guys.

Going on my first big solo trip in September and was hoping to get a few tips.

I'm flying into Singapore for the Formula 1 Grand Prix so I'll be staying there for a week.

After Singapore I'm going to work my way up through Malaysia, into Thailand and then eventually flying down to Australia for a year.

I'm not really restricted to time. Anywhere between 1-3 months as I'd like to be in Australia by Christmas.

I was looking for advice on places to see in Malaysia and Thailand. So far my list consists of Tioman Island, KL, Phuket and Bangkok.

I'd like to visit a mixture of cool cities, nature reserves, temples and a tropical island here and there. I'm not really looking the party scene on this trip.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
