Please critique my budget/ Itinerary...
Im going on a big (approx 6 months) trip this year from August, and, whilst i have set up a budget, i dont plan on really following it that well.. but i wanted to guage some expert opinion and learn from your experiences and how much you guys spent in comparison to my research on various websites, skyscanner, hostel world, airBnB etc. and budget my travel websites.
Below is my itinerary:
Country (approximate number of days): Daily budget in GBP/ Total budget in GBP/USD.
Indonesia (25 days): £32 / £800 ($1102)
Taiwan (15 days): £32 / £480 ($661)
Japan (15 days): £40 / £900 ($1240)
S. Korea (7 days): £43 / £301 ($414)
China (41 days): £33.50 / £1458.50 ($2010)
Philippines (11 days): £34/ £374 ($515)
Vietnam (22 days): £24/ £528 ($727)
Hong Kong (4 days): £48/ £192 ($264)
Cambodia (7 days): £24/ £190 ($261)
Thailand (17 days): £31.50/ £535.50 ($738)
Total expenditure in country: £5764/ $7943
Airfare: Approx £1500/ $2068
Visas/ insurance: approx £550/ $758
Total: £7814/ $10,770
I will be taking with me approx £8000 in total, but my budget and my time in each country, if i even visit the country, is not set in stone. If i run out of money by the end of week one, then i'll just catch a flight home; i was curious though, how realistic you think my budget plan is for the duration of this trip?
