National Parks Roadtrip Planning Help
Hey everyone! Brand new to this sub and wanted to get some input/ feedback regarding my plan to drive from Cleveland out west, over the course of two weeks, to see as many National Parks as possible sometime in the summer/ fall of 2019. Please find my itinerary below (please note that these dates are not set in stone, I'm simply using some dates this year so I can get an idea of how long I want to be gone).
National Parks (in order)
- Rocky Mountain National Park - spending 1 day here
- Arches National Park - spending 2 days here
- Grand Canyon National Park - spending 2 days here
- Zion National Park - spending 2 days here
- Bryce Canyon National Park - spending 1 day here
- Canyonlands National Park - spending 1 day here
Hotels Staying At
- Embassy Suites in Lincoln, NE (this will be our pit stop on our way to Denver).
- Denver Marriott West (we will be staying in Denver for a night to check out the city).
- Blue Door Inn (we will be staying here after checking out Rocky Mountain NP)
- Aarhcway Inn (this is supposed to be a nice hotel close to Arches NP. We'll be staying here for 2 nights).
- Yavapai Lodge (this is near Grand Canyon NP. We will be staying here for 2 nights).
- La Quinta Inn & Suites La Verkin (this hotel is close to Zion NP. We'll be staying here for 2 nights).
- Quality Suites (this is in Moab, UT and close to Canyonlands. We'll be staying here for 1 night).
- Hotel Indigo - I will be using some IHG points I have stashed to save some money (this is in downtown Denver. We are going to be staying in Denver for 1 night before heading back to Cleveland).
- Holiday Inn Express - using some more IHG points here to save some cash (this is near Cedar Rapids. We'll be breaking up our drive back to Cleveland and staying here for 1 night).
Our plan would be to leave on a Saturday and return 2 weeks later. Any feedback, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
