Month long solo trip to europe... let me know what you think and if you guys have any suggestions
Okay so first post but long time lurker and just recently found this subreddit. Anyway here are the basics: I'm 29 yo male from new jersey and looking to get away for awhile after my deployment overseas and want to take advantages of the military perks while on leave. But that means i'm kinda stuck with flying into and out of ramstein germany. So I'm looking at leaving in early august or late july and spending a month in europe. Right now my trip is still in the early stages of planning but i kinda what to get a feel of what you guys think. Most of the trip is around the alps basically but im open to any suggestions further out. I'm mainly going for outdoor activities with the exception of munich and venice and a few other. but mainly going for the picturesque alps mountain range.
So a little about me. I'm really into nature and anything outdoors. I rock climb but not super experienced but would like to do some rock climbing on the trip, still looking at areas. Looking at doing some other adrenaline rush activities like hang gliding or maybe parachuting. I'm really into hiking and looking at doing an overnight backpacking trip. But i also want to see some Europe's historical sites and whatnot. If have any other suggestions please let me know that would be great.
Umm my budget is looking to be around $3,000. My means of travel is going to be a rental car, as most of the places i want to go aren't really public trans friendly and to avoid the confusion i figured a car rental would be easier. And i also want to drive thru alps!!! Most of the accommodations would be coming from hostels, campsites or sleeping in the car basically to cut the budget a little. Umm i think i got everything if you feel i missed anything please do not hesitate to ask i love talking about this trip and im super excited!!
