In Toronto: where to roadtrip to in the USA/Canada? May 11th-17th
My husband and I took a very focused fast haul road trip to NYC and back to get my stuff back in September. We thought it might be stressful to be stuck in a car for almost ten hours at a stretch together, but it was the opposite. We were wonderful together! The conversation was effortless, we plumbed each other's depths, we listened to podcasts, we sat in comfortable silence, we sang fiery duets and the experience left us feeling closer than ever. We take short road trips as often as we can but we would like to take a prolonged road trip together from the 11th to the 17th of May, we just don't know where we want to go.
We have never gone camping together but we wouldn't mind camping/glamping/roughing it a little. We are open to anything, roller coasters, food, bed and breakfast, rock concerts, basically almost literally anything. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey, but also we'd like to do some cool stuff because it's our anniversary. We want an adventure to remember.
We're willing to go anywhere in Canada or the USA. Ideally I'd like to drive for two days to a destination, spend two days at the destination, spend two days driving back a different way. I was thinking we could camp or stay at nicer AirBnBs at the end of our days of driving.
If you have any recommendations or suggestions, I would really love to hear them! Right now all I can think of is Cedar Point in Ohio? That's about 5 hours of driving to get there. Not sure where to go from there.
