Germany/Austria or Norway/Sweden/Denmark?
I’m flying to Reykjavík at the end of May and am trying to figure out where to go after that. 25F traveling solo for the first time. I want to end up in Switzerland so right now my two options are Germany & Austria and take the train to Zurich or Norway/Sweden/Copenhagen and fly to Zurich.
I’ve never been on a trip like this before and I’m almost worried that if I do Norway/Sweden/Denmark along with Iceland and Switzerland, it’ll just be so much scenery that I’ll lose appreciation for it by the end of my 4-5 week trip. Is it even possible to grow old of beautiful scenery? I have noticed a similar effect after going to endless museums and cathedrals, I just don’t care as much by the end.
I’m guessing that the Norway option is much pricier than Germany/Austria. Is there a difference in safety? Most places I’ve listed sound very safe but I’m a little nervous about Germany (I would go to Munich and Berlin).
I will spend about 2 weeks in whatever option I choose. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
