Five (or six) nights in Patagonia in April. Need some advice...
As the title implies, I'm planning to spend five or six nights in Patagonia in April. Right now, I'm flying into Buenos Aires where I'll spend two or three nights depending, fly down to El Calafate and will have five nights in Patagonia before flying up to Santiago for two nights before flying home. I could fly down to Patagonia a day earlier, which would give me six nights, but I'd rather spend three nights in Buenos Aires if possible.
My goal in Patagonia was to spend the bulk of my time doing a trek in Torres Del Paine. Is this possible/advisable with this amount of time at this time of year?
Anything I'd need to consider since I'll be flying into El Calafate and flying out of Punta Arenas? Better yet, is there a way to make the journey between the two airports line up nicely with my trekking goals since I theoretically won't have to double back at all?
Money isn't a huge issue, so I'm willing to shell out a little extra to maximize the time I have in Patagonia.
Thanks in advance!
