First time solo traveller, ready to take the plunge. Advice on how to get started?

A little background about me: I have been dreaming about taking a long solo trip for years now but I always found excuses not to go. I am 30/f and at sort of a crossroads. I have a decent job as a paraprofessional at a special needs school, but it's a dead end unless I go back to school for something more specialized. My lease is up in July, and I am considering buying a place (it's way cheaper than renting in the area). Financially, I have a decent about of money saved up, and I have about $6000 that I made from cyptocurrency investments that I consider sort of bonus income. As far as a budget, I think I could comfortably go as high as $10,000.

So here's where I am. I realized recently that this might be the opportunity I've been waiting for. The school year ends in June, but it starts back up in July for an abridged summer session before starting full time again in September. This field of work is chronically understaffed so I have amazing job security (and this school in particular has a fantastic administration). I know I could take all or some of the summer off and just tell them that I will be back in September.

I've thought a lot about this and I really think I am in a good place to do this. But.. I have never planned a solo trip before. I have never really been on a solo trip that wasn't to Disney World for a week. I do have travel experience (I did Semester at Sea in college where we lived on a ship and travelled around the world. 11 countries in ~100 days). But I am completely overwhelmed when it comes to planning something like this by myself.

I have ideas of places I'd like to visit (Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Iceland, Germany), and I am flexible with the time frame as long as it's within July and August. I know those are more expensive times to travel, but aw well.

Basically, I would love some advice on how to get started, or any input on things I may not have considered. I know this is an annoying open ended question and I am grateful for any advice!
