Colombia this summer, advice?
Hey everyone! I am planning a solo trip this summer through Colombia from end of May to hopefully second week of August and I would love some advice.
As a college student, I am going to be WWOOFing (first time) primarily to save money. I already contacted (heard back from) a bunch of hosts, and I have narrowed down to either 4 or 5 farms. My tentative itinerary is based on the general location of the farms and when they can host me.
Can you guys tell me how this general route is? Cali --> Bogota --> Medellin ---> Cartagena --->Santa Marta area
I will do more in depth research about nearby areas to go to as well. Id like to do one or two weeks at a farm then like a week to travel, and repeat. Taking a bus between cities would be cool because it would allow me to take in more of the country and do more sight-seeing right?
I am trying to keep it more open ended so that I have more freedom, but I am obviously nervous about the idea of getting lost/feeling insecure/wasting time etc.
Any advice/comments/thoughts would be highly appreciated! Thank you so much for the help.
