I’m planning on traveling japan for a week to 10 days in June. No flights yet. I’m planning on the Japan Rail pass as that seems to be what everyone uses. I want to see Tokyo and Kyoto, but I’d also like a few days seeing some of Japan’s nature. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go to see that? There seem to be a lot of options but if anyone has first hand accounts of which they liked best, it would be nice! Budget isn’t really an issue, I just usually stay in hostels or cheap hotels as much as possible. There seems to be a lot of options for hostels throughout Japan.
