7 days in Nicaragua, early March
I’m planning out my first truly solo trip and wanted some advice on my itinerary so far. Feel free to offer any helpful advice, cool day trips or hikes, and quality restaurants in the area! I would like to take a coffee plantation tour but not sure which day or location would be best. I’m also looking for hostel/hotel suggestions on Ometepe. Budget is no more than $150 for the 3 nights, plus if breakfast or meals are included.
Day 1: fly into MGA, shuttle to hostel in Granada. Walk around main square. Night lava tour.
Day 2: Mombacho hike, shopping at the market, walk around the city.
Day 3: all day Laguna de Apoyo trip.
Day 4: head to Isla de Ometepe, check into hotel/hostel.
Day 5: rent a scooter, possibly waterfall hike
Day 6: head to Santo Domingo beach area, relax
Day 7: head back to Managua, flight home
