1st solo trip suggestions?
Hi everyone. I’ve always loved traveling and going to new and exciting places but lately I’ve been planning trips to go with people and no one seems to be serious about it. I normally feel a lot safer traveling with someone else or a group of people. I travelled by myself a lot when I was flying back and forth from home and college. I obviously wasn’t afraid then because i knew the two destinations that I was going regardless of the layovers in different city. I finally travelled alone from an island off the West Coast of Africa to Paris, even though i was scared and i didn’t know the language. I didn’t mind the travel because my sister lived in Paris at the time and met me at the airport.
However, I’ve been longing for a vacation so bad and I’m seriously tired of my friends/family saying they are down but not pulling through with the plans.
So for the people who have travelled alone to a place where they didn’t know the language or anyone there: What place would you suggest that would be a great start for a solo travel ?
I’m located in the east coast/US and willing to travel to other states. I also wouldn’t mind some place in the south like the Caribbean or South America. I’m multilingual so I’m not really concerned about the language barrier in those places.
This is more of a leisure, couple of days trip so I want to save Europe, Asia and Africa for a much lengthier trip.
Any suggestions, tips and advice is more than welcome !
