Two weeks in Italy, end of May
27 m, Scottish. Looking to see some more of Italy this summer. I have a basic itinerary in mind but entirely open to any and all suggestions (you guys have been super useful before). Using public transport.
Venice > San Marino > San Gimignano > Naples > Amalfi > Bari > Dubrovnik
I like a mixture of cities, small towns, chilling, beaches, ancient stuff, walking, wine drinking. I usually stay a mixture of hostels & AirBnB. I stayed in a riffugio last year and would be up for doing that again - would also like to try some aggriturismo.
Does anyone have any particular recommendations for accommodation? Or anywhere else in particular to visit?
I love Tuscany, and hilltop villages, so if anyone has a particularly picturesque hostel in mind I’m super up for changing my route. I’ve never been to the south before but a lot of it looks beautiful. I had originally planned on spending some time on Corsica or Sicily (overnight ferries) but I might not have time.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
