Hello people! So I leave for Sydney in a month, travelling up the east coast to Cairns solo (28/m/uk). Thinking of the things I need before I go, could anyone write a short check list for me please? I’m using hostelworld for all of my trip and it’s asking me to phone the hostels a day prior to confirm booking, is this a must? Would it be worth buying a SIM card or something for my phone when I land? Any help would be great, cheers.

Edit: I’ll be travelling for a month.
