Things to do at Columbia River Gorge
My girlfriend and I will be there in August for a couple of days as part of a longer road trip, and are curious what there is to do outside of the "main" attractions, because sadly, it looks like a lot of the trails may not be open even by the time we're there in mid-August (we were eyeing Multnomah Falls, Eagle Creek to Tunnel Falls, and Oneonta Gorge).
We are trying to find backup hikes that are worthwhile in the area; one that grabbed our interest was Falls Creek Falls in Washington, which itself isn't in Columbia River Gorge but is close by.
