Taking my first solo trip ever to Ireland in June. Any Advice?
I'm planning an Ireland trip for about 7-9 days in June and I wanted to get some pointers because it's my first time traveling alone.
My current gameplan is to do a general loop around the southern half of the island, but I'm limited to public transportation because of a tight budget and age (22). The bus/rail system looks okay, but there's limitations outside of Dublin. Regardless here's my plan:
June 11th overnight to Dublin (land morning of 12th): Stay 2 nights 12th-14th (Abigail's Hostel)
Take public transportation to Galway on the 14th: Stay 2 nights 14th-16th (Sleepzone Hostel)
Take public transportation to killarney on the 16th: Stay 3 nights 16th-19th (The Black Sheep or Neptune's)
Either go home on the 19th from Shannon
or go to Cork and stay until the 21st, then leave from Shannon
I hope to hit Killkenny Castle, Cliffs of Mohor, and Ring of Kerry/Skellig Michael
If you have any suggestions about any other places to hit or any general traveling advice, it would be greatly appreciated!
