Re-entering country (2 years later) after leaving due to an eviction date

Hey guys. I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question but I'm having trouble finding the appropriate answer anywhere. I am a US citizen and a couple of years ago I had a European solo-travel stint and at one point ended up living in London for about 5-6 months without a proper visa. Once during those few months, I traveled outside of the UK (friends convinced me it would be fine to go outside of the country for New Year's...shouldn't have listened!) and upon my re-entry, the border patrol basically realized I had been in London for months without a real purpose and I was detained and questioned for hours. I essentially plead ignorance and said I was living with my boyfriend at the time (a UK citizen) and not working. They allowed me to enter back into the UK, but gave me an 'official date' that I had to be out of the country, which I gladly abided by.

I have just booked a week-long trip back to London next month but I'm really scared that I will run into trouble at the airport upon my arrival. My current passport is the one I had years ago..so it still has the stamp with that exit date listed in it. Would this be a red flag for them? I have a return flight booked (which I am definitely getting on...I have a full-time job now so this is truly just a quick trip) so I'm hoping this will be enough evidence that I do plan on leaving. I would hate to arrive there (not to mention all the money I've already spent on accommodation + airfare) and have them turn me away. Has anyone dealt with this scenario or have insight on the matter that might calm my nerves? Thanks!!!
