Hello r/solotravel,

I’m currently awaiting my flight to Ho Chi Minh City for my first solo trip when it occurred to me to ask for some last minute help and suggestions.

For the most part I have a rough idea of what my itinerary will be but are there any places I should avoid, social cues or mannerisms etc while in Vietnam and Thailand?

As a mirror to this are there any places I absolutely have to go to as well as things I shouldn’t worry about? I have my first two nights and flights within Vietnam booked but I’m still incredibly nervous and I have no idea what to expect.
