Hoping for opinions and advice on flying to South East Asia with no plan at all
Hi, im a 21 year old British guy in my last year of uni. I finish in June and i am planning to get a one way flight to South East Asia (probably Bangkok as ive seen its the cheapest).
in the past my travels have taught me that having no plan more often than not leads to great times. i love this sub and you have all helped me many times before, so im just wondering whether having no plan seems like a good idea, and whether it will work.
For example, i am going to list which countries i want to visit (most likely Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, The Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar) as well as some cities/towns that i want to visit in each.
However, i will not be booking anything in advance, so will i be okay to book hostels on the same day as i wont know exactly where ill be going? or will i have trouble finding availability? Im hoping to head out in June, and travel around the region anywhere between 3 months and 6 months.
There is so much information around backpacking in S.E.A online that its kind of overwhelming, and talking to people on here with experience always makes me feel much better. So any advice, any tips, any suggestions are all more than welcome and appreciated. Also any questions fire away.
