Hey guys Me and 4 buddies need to go from DC to Chicago and we thought we might as make it a road trip rather than flying.

My question:

  • We want to finish the drive in 2 days and stay somewhere for the night. Whats a good place to break the journey? Cleveland seems midway. Or if there is some picturesque place with a small town feel that would be awesome too. Lemme know where you'd stop in my place.

  • What's the best route to take?

  • Will the cheapest 1000cc econo car do? Or do guys recommend something with more juice?

  • One way car rental seems to have a 300$ return way fee for a 30$ car which seems insane. Any way around this?
