Unexperienced solo traveler in Bangkok
Who am I I am an 18 year old guy from germany that went on a South East Asia trip for approx. half a year. This trip is by far the biggest and most challenging one I've had so far, thats why I would appreciate advices from more experienced solo travelers. I arrived yesterday noon in Bangkok and I will be here for one more night.
My plan I have to be in Bangkok again the 14th December to pick a friend from the airport, so I basically have 2 weeks to spend before returning to Bangkok. I havent booked anything else than a room for tonight. To be honest, I was a little bit overwhelmed the day I arrived. Although Bangkok is a pretty nice city, I am not planning to stay here for two more weeks. So I am looking for a place to go now as I have two free weeks. I considered Chiang Mai, Pai or Koh Chang. What are your experiences with those places? How would you get there? Would you book in advance (might be better as there are quite a lot of tourists here right now)? What should I watch out for?
