Trip Advice Saigon(Ho Chi Minh)-Phnom Penh-Siem Reap-Bangkok-Phuket-Bangkok
Hey Everyone first-time backpacker here. Just finished school and have the first time gap in 4.5 years for 23 days to go on a backpacking trip. I've always been intrigued in Southeast Asia. I know it's a good place to get your feet wet in backpacking(Extremely economical as well for USD). Is this trip doable? I found good airfare to fly into Saigon and fly home from Bangkok. I wanted to take a bus in that order. My generic plan(fill in details after I book a flight) was to fly into Saigon spend 6 days there take a bus Phnom Penh Spend 3(2.5 days after travel) days, Bus to Siem Riep 3(2.5) days, Bus to Bangkok 4(3.5) days, ferry(may fly if cheap enough) to Phuket 4(3.5) days, ferry back to Bangkok to spend last 2.5 days. Phuket is a bonus since I would be able to make it for the January 31st Full moon party. I know that some of these days will be cut short by traveling. From the research I've done, these are reasonable 6-hour bus rides max a day meaning if I left early I'd still get half days in some of these locations. Tell me what you think? Doing this solo so any advice on anything I have to see in those areas would be much appreciated.
