Hey r/solotravel;

I have 4 days in Cusco here in a few weeks, and I’m slowly deciding that I really don’t want to do Macchu Picchu as I had originally planned, at least not this time around. My family is taking a vacation in Ecuador for Christmas; my break starts a week earlier than my siblings’ do, so I impulse-booked a flight to Peru for the few days before I meet up with them. I’ll definitely go back for Macchu Picchu, just not this time. I’m a 19/M, and have 20 or so countries done solo under my belt so I’m comfortable alone, with hostels etc.

I’m into hiking, renting bicycles if possible (mountain or just town cruisers), seeing sights, and maybe interacting with locals/doing stuff off the beaten track (I love practicing my Spanish!).
