Planning to travel in the new year. Thinking about going from Mexico City to Colombia. I would appreciate tips on places to visit and things to see!
As stated in the title, I'm planning to backpack from Mexico City towards Colombia. I'm just starting my research now so I don't know too much about Central America. I plan to head towards Colombia because I absolutely loved the people, nature and culture last time I was there.
I plan to backpack and make my route as I go but I would like some suggestions on places to visit and things to see.
I enjoy nature, cities, meeting people, dancing etc. Basically I just want to have a good time and make good memories. I don't have too much money but I have enough to enjoy myself. This will be my third trip like this so I'm a somewhat seasoned traveller. I am learning Spanish and can speak at an intermediate level and plan on taking more lessons if I feel it is necessary when I arrive in Colombia. I plan to travel through Central America for about 3 months and then rent an apartment in Colombia and stay in one place for 2-3 months before returning home. But if I find a place I absolutely love I will stay there. I also plan on using Workaway and maybe working in hostels on the way.
I would love some suggestions from fellow travellers that have experienced these areas before,
