Looking for domestic (within USA) and international travel ideas

After the 19th of January I'm going to have a six week free period before I move to start a new job. I have a commitment in the middle of February, so I'd like to spend ~3 weeks (1/22 to around 2/14) traveling overseas, and then another week (2/19-2/26) traveling in the States. So, I'm looking for international and domestic travel locations.

About me: I'm a 24 year old Asian American male and I have lived in the Northeast all my life. Moving to the Midwest soon.

Aside from the NE region, I've been to the following states: California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

Countries I've been to include: England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Croatia (Dubrovnik only), China (many times; family is from here), Canada, Bahamas.

I've visited pretty much every super touristy area within each of these places.

For international, I'd like to visit one or two countries max and see whatever I can. I have a self-imposed but flexible budget of $2200. I'm looking for a mixture of debauchery, meeting new people, and trying different foods - basically somewhere where I can bring out the extroverted part of me (since I'm generally an introvert). Beautiful sights would be nice too.

I think Vietnam would fit this criteria very closely because I have a particular fondness to its culture. In addition, it's very close to where my parents live in China, so I can even end the trip visiting them. At the same time I've become very accustomed to Chinese culture that I'm not sure how significantly enriching it would be to spend a few weeks in Vietnam, due to the relative parallels between their cultures. If there's a European or South American "equivalent" of Vietnam, that would definitely be on my radar.

As for domestic options, I'd like to see something very scenic in a nature sense and not commonly traveled on. Somewhere within the Southern US would be perfect. A theme of tranquility is what I idealize for this trip. I haven't determined a budget for this trip, but as cheap as possible is best.

I have no problems being active. I like hiking for sure though.

Thank you for reading :)
