I unexpectedly have a few weeks of down-time over the course of January / February and would like to solo travel for a bit of it.

I'm looking for a tropical area that's reasonable and easy to navigate. I'm a scuba diver and would like to learn free-diving if there's an opportunity. Currently thinking Thailand, but open to suggestions.
