Thoughts on going home early?
Hey everybody. I've been in Thailand for about 3 weeks, and I'm about halfway through my trip. I've had a variety of issues that seem to be taking a toll on my mental stamina - trouble with transportation, ending up in hostels that seem to be very "cliquey" and not having people to do things with, and generally getting confined to places since I can't drive a motor-scooter. I'm incredibly lonely.
I went into this trip without a strict itinerary because that's the advice that literally everybody gave me. But it's just causing me stress and having to spend crazy amounts of money to get around (instead of having things pre-booked for 25% of the price).
So long story short - I'm feeling like a failure. I really, really want to go home. It's probably going to cost me something like $700 out of pocket since my return ticket is from a different country altogether, but maybe it's the right thing to do. Thoughts? Thanks in advance...
