Looking for advice on lesser known destinations from Detroit, end of December, moderate flight cost (up to $600 or so)
Hi all,
Just another burned out, late twenties professional looking for a trip to refresh but haven't quite settled on where. I usually travel with a friend a couple times a year but gonna go for the solo on this one. (tentatively 12/22 - new years)
Mostly just need a change of setting, some quiet time to explore nature would be nice, then maybe a few days in a city to sit in a cafe and think about my career, etc. Always down for good food/drinks and moderate nightlife.
I don't really need to be partying at hostels/clubs or anything like that. Probably going to stay in hotels if anything. Sight seeing, museums aren't really a priority either.
With my flight budget, I'm probably staying in the US but I don't have to. I can also rent a car if needed.
Places I've lived or traveled in the US:
New york, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, LA, San Diego, San Franciso, Miami, Key West, New Orleans, Nashville, Vegas, Atlanta
Places I'm vaguely considering: Oregon? Arizona? Colorado?
I've been to most of the recommended places and want some place new so if you can think of an area or city, please let me know!
cheers~
