Las Vegas To Sunnyvale CA in January 2018
I'm attending a conference in Las Vegas and considering driving to Sunnyvale CA over the weekend - with possible scenic route or stopping over night.
Never been in this area before, so I want to cease the opportunity.
For sightseeing, hiking is a welcome option. For overnight, camping is not an option because I'll be traveling alone. I'll be driving a rental.
One option is LV-> Death Valley-> i395 north -> i88 west
My questions: * Is my plan feasible at all given winter conditions? * Which route, scenic / over night stops would you recommend? * Are there groups I could join? * Alternatively, which destinations around LV would you recommend? I understand that the GC can be beautiful in the winter but I hesitate to go hiking alone.
Thanks in advance redditors!
