I feel a bit self-conscious about my size.
Hello, this is my first time on this sub and i'm glad that i found it. A bit of an introduction, I'm an asian male in the early 20s and i have always wanted to go backpacking, travelling around the world alone. I've been to places like Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and China but all my trips have been together with friends and family. As the title states, i feel self-conscious about my size. I'm 1.63m(5'3) slim male. not even average height or size for an asian. Not overweight, not underweight. I feel that this is what's stopping me from accomplishing my dream of travelling the world solo, maybe because i dont feel safe? I'm not entirely sure myself as well. Or Maybe when i travel to the western side of the world i will come across males who would be so much bigger and taller than me that i would feel insecure about myself?
I haven't done any planning or have any upcoming trips. Are there any special planning that has to be done for solo travelers compared to traveling with friends? How do you usually plan your solo trips? How big of a budget do i need?
I would like to hear what you guys have to say
