I'm a 27yo Canadian male -- aiming to be in Vietnam during the last 2 weeks of December.

In terms of what I have roughly schedule so far: I'm meeting a friend in Hanoi for 2 days and doing a tour of Ha Long Bay for another 2 days. Besides this I have nothing planned! I've been told that Sapa, Phong Nah and Hoi An are all must-see's, but I doubt I can squeeze that into 10-12 days. Additionally, I've been told that I don't have enough time to make it to Saigon.

With that said, I would love some advice on how to spend 10-12 days, assuming that I will be in Hanoi/Ha Long Bay for 3-4 days.
