Help with first SEA trip itinerary
I was able to find a $350 round trip ticket from New York to Kuala Lumpur for April. It will be my first trip to SEA and am in the beginning stages of planning. I’m ok with not visiting the beaches this time and am interested in visiting some major cities and visiting Angor Wat. I fly into Kuala Lumpur on Thursday April 19th at 11pm and leave from Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday May 2nd at 7am. I’m thinking of doing flying straight to Singapore on April 20th so Singapore>Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam>Siem Reap, Cambodia>Bangkok,Thailand>Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Many of the blogs and forums that I have been reading say to stick to one or two countries but there is so much to see and not enough time. Below is my draft timeline but nothing is set yet this is what I have come up with so far. Does it seem manageable?
Singapore - 2 nights Friday April 20 - Saturday 21 full days leave morning/afternoon Sunday April 22
Ho Chi Minh City - 4 nights arrive Sunday 22 afternoon Monday 23rd - Wednesday 25th full days leave Thursday 26th morning
Siem Reap - 2 nights arrive Thursday morning 26th Friday 27th full day leave Saturday morning 28th
Bangkok - 3 nights Saturday 28th Sunday 29th and Monday 30th full day Tuesday morning leave for Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur - leave for New York early Wednesday
I might be trying to do too much in that short amount of time. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
