Has anyone been on a short Contiki tour? What was your experience like?
Hi there,
I typically avoid the use of tour groups because I like the part of planning the trip especially if it's solo, plus it's usually cheaper and more efficient to do things myself. However, I took a few days off in early January but my plans fell through. I was thinking of trying out one of the shorter USA/Canada/Latin America tours for a different experience and to meet a lot of new people, but the prices are pretty steep for some reason (250-400/night). Almost everything I've found on Contiki is based on their longer Euro/Asia trips so I was just wondering if anyone had insight to how the shorter trips (1 week or less) were and if you found that it was worth it.
I know most of the time people just recommend hostels but in this case I'm looking more for US/Canada. I feel like Airbnb is more popular & hostels here are kind of hit or miss when it comes to socializing.
Thanks!
