Christmas in Dominican republic, new year's eve in Barcelona (plus a side-side trip to Andorra)
Soo... I'm 29/f and pretty much despise Christmas. Back in the summer, when the new airline Level launched I bought some flights to Punta Cana very cheaply.
However, I live in London and the flights are from Barcelona.
I've booked my flights and hotels and will be spending two nights in Barcelona, a week in Punta Cana (including over Christmas) and the back to Barcelona for New year's Eve. Flying back to London on January 1st as I have to work on January 2nd.
I've been to Barcelona before and seen most of the big sights, so I'm thinking I'll do a day trip to Andorra and go to Caldea spa and explore the city.
My questions are really:
I'm staying in a guest house in PC, rather than a resort. Are things likely to be closed for multiple days over Christmas? I'd like to do some tours/day trips whilst there and aside from Christmas day, wondering how many days this won't be possible on.
Any suggestions for New Year's in Barcelona? My Spanish friend has said that most of the locals won't be out until after midnight. I'm staying in a small guesthouse as the hostels were all too expensive, so not sure where to meet any other travelers. I wouldn't normally do an organised pub crawl, but wondered if anyone has an suggestions for this?
Thanks!
