21F traveling from Portland, OR looking for US travel advice.

Hi y'all! I've lurked here for like a year, and for this spring break I am so ready to explore somewhere new. I know I want to stay in the U.S. (to start off my traveling), but that's all I've got. I'm cool with hostels/airbnb/maybe couchsurf--need to explore more. I'm hoping someone here has a good location recommendations that would be safe and cheap for a 21yr old female. I have my own car that is reliable and I'd be fine driving, and I also live close to the Portland which has buses/flights going everywhere in the US.

Places I love: San Francisco, Seattle, Portland (Have lived on the west coast all my life, if you can't tell haha). I love these awesome, quirky, near-ocean big cities. I think Montana and Wyoming look beautiful as far as rural locations. The mountains and big skies are super pretty and feel like home. Main looks pretty and peaceful.

I honestly don't know much about the rest of the US other than what I've seen in movies/online. I'd be traveling around the last week of March (my school break) and honestly wouldn't want somewhere super springbreak partying and wild. I'm introverted, and love quiet, pretty places in nature or funky street art. I like places where I can walk everywhere too, but public reliable public transportation or driving is fine.

Anyone have good personal experience traveling to US to make a recommendation? Thanks in advance!
