What all-in-one app do you use? (Journal, picture, video, itinerary, cloud upload/backup)
I'm looking for a specific app that I hope exist.
I'll be travelling for a year solo out of the country for the first time over the summer and I want to document everything for memories and a way for safety. Asian female so I'll be sticking out like a sore thumb. I don't want to make 100 fb post a day and have people stop following me and when emergency comes, they don't see that post for help or that I haven't been posting/missing.
It's hard for me to put thoughts into words so I'll try my best. From previous travel experience, I would usually post addresses and name of strangers as a fb post and delete them once safe cause it'll be weird if I friend one of them and they see their private info. Check in places using fb. Post pictures and videos with check-ins so people know where my last where about was. Make posts summarizing my day for me to look back on.
But I want to step away from fb. Not big on it, grew out of it years ago and it's the only social media I use currently and consider myself a light user. Not much socializing goes on.
What I want is a semi-public app(friends only/me only) that works offline and when there's internet, auto upload everything. Like a dropbox/instagram/twitter/onenote (I don't use any of these four app but know their purpose enough). I've heard of family gps tracking apps to map where you're at. Does it save as log history? So people know where I was an hour ago, 2 hours ago, last night, right this second.
Does that make sense? Maybe everything I want is every single google product and just use them all and hope they all sync and have everything I need since it's one company. But again, I just want one product and don't want to have a dozen apps from google. It looks like there's a bit of a lot of google products I want. Maybe I should download them all and see. Also don't want that many apps and have them drain battery when inactive.
I want to document everything for my personal memory, as a safety tool in case something happens to me and for people to see my adventure.
I care and worry about privacy but when I'm travelling, I want my every move documented, ha. It's cause I now I'll be thousands of miles away from the nearest friend so I know I won't be stalk by them.
Last but not least, what do you do in terms of safety and journaling when traveling? Any apps you recommend that you rely heavily one?
I'm an anxiety ridden person fearful of everything. Sigh.
