Wife wants to go to Hawaii, but I'm not going during the busiest time of year, plus I know Hawaii is mega expensive. I know there are plenty warm, affordable, relaxing places to visit. I just need some ideas.

Just from what I've already typed it looks like I'm begging for either Mexico, Central and South America, or southeast Asia.

Can someone help out with a destination or even two contrasting destinations? (two places we could reasonably visit within 10 days)

Needs:

  • Warm-ish

  • cheap (not dirt cheap, but not unreasonable prices)

  • A place to relax, not necessarily a beach

  • Nearby activities (museums, historical sites, places of interest)
