Hi all! I'm a 21 M from the UK who is currently in his final year of university. As well as studying I work quite a few hours a week just earning money so that I can fulfil my ambition to travel.

By next summer I plan to graduate and also have £10-11k in the bank so that I can go off on a long awaited adventure for 3 months or maybe more to travel to the Western Hemisphere (Canada, US, Mexico and down to South America). The only thing hindering me from taking this trip is my future. Although I love travelling I know that when I return I have to come back to reality and have job prospects lined up and finally enter the real world of working. If it wasn't for this I would maybe travel for longer. However, I would love to hear stories or words of advice on this particular issue. In all honesty I don't want to get into the working world straight away as I've done everything the system has asked for me and I kind of just want to do my own thing for once. Should I travel for an extended period of time or will that hinder my job chances fresh out of university? Or is there something which I could do which would fit the best of both worlds?

If I can make it clearer to you guys I honestly don't want to work straight away, not because I'm lazy but more so because I want to make the most of the free time I have before I enter the working world but at the same time I want something which I can prove that my degree was worthwhile for and also not be in the position where I have nothing lined up when I come back home.
