I have been planning an overlanding/roadtrip for early November to go to the national parks around UT/AZ such as Zion, GC, and Bryce. I have a sleeping platform built in the back of my 4runner with a foldable mattress. I will have one other person with me.

I'm seeing some pretty cold temperatures at night around this time (20s). The former plan was lots of thick blankets. The new plan would be cold rated sleeping bags.

However, I'm rethinking if there might be warmer National Parks that we can go to instead. Death Valley and Joshua Tree are certainly options I've seen.

We have 2 weeks starting around Halloween, open to suggestions for those three states.

Another option for the Utah parks is to simply stay in Hotels. But at 50 degrees and possibility of rain, the parks are a bit less appealing.
