Staying Tokyo for a month, but not sure what to do for living arrangements.
I'm an American planning on spending a month in Tokyo this June, but I am a bit confused when it comes to choosing where to stay. I've done a fair bit of research regarding share-houses, dorms, etc. but I'm not really sure what the pros and cons of each are and which would fit my plans better. I know Sakura House is a very popular option, but I have heard some mixed reviews so I am not sure if I should risk it. Have any of you stayed in Tokyo for a month? If so, where did you stay? How did you like it? Do you have any share-houses, dorms, etc. to recommend? Thanks a ton!
Additional Info: I am planning on teaching English in Japan in a couple of years, so the main purpose of this trip, besides the usual tourist and sight-seeing stuff, is to attempt to really experience what it is like living in a Japanese city. I basically want to make sure I will actually enjoy Japan (which I am almost sure I will) enough to spend a year there. I would like to keep the cost of a room under $700, but I am willing to go over that a bit if someone can recommend something that really worth the extra money. Thanks again!
