Hello All! I'm looking at getting from the Los Angeles area out to South Western New Hampshire at the end of December. I'm starting a new job out there and my new boss said that the weather will most likely be okay for driving, perhaps a bit slow at parts, but nothing to be too concerned about. I've got from Christmas until sometime the first week of January to be there to start. I'm hoping to make about 500 miles a day, so the trip shouldn't take more than 7 or 8 days, including delays. Does anyone have suggestions for routes?

Any strong reason to make the driving further and take the more southern route?
