If you only had 3 months to see Europe, what would be your must-see? Nice-to-see? Save for another time? Skip altogether?
I'm condensing a 6-month stay down to 3, after learning that I would have to buy a full year of health insurance and have to have a housing agreement that was a year-long contract. I'd rather just visit a 2nd time.
I would start in London or Greece (not sure yet), journey through certain cities and regions of Europe using Eurail, and settle down for extended periods in Italy (2-3 weeks), Switzerland (1 week at most), Germany (2-3 weeks), and Scandinavia for (1 week at most). Many of the other countries I would only spend 1-3 days in, to see the capital city and it's surrounding area if I feel called.
I've been reading and skipping around in a lot of guidebooks from the library, they have helped me know what's in each country and city. I am most interested in ancient history, natural wonder, medieval-looking cities, world-renowned buildings, and world-class museums.
