First solo trip, excited, scared, and unprepared.
Solo travelling for the first time, going to Spain/Portugal for a month starting November 1st. In the initial planning stages of this trip all the itineraries and all the research I saw other posters doing motivated me to do the same. By the end of it I had pages of notes written about each city for restaurants, hostels, day trips, bars, etc...
Fast forward 2 months to today. I leave in 8 days and the only things I have confirmed for this trip are:
- Flights to Barcelona, and back Home from London (Nov 1 - Nov 30)
- Ticket to a PSG match
I'm also in the process of booking a hostel in Barcelona (either Sant Jordi, Hostel One, or Pars Tailor) so I'm not homeless on November 1st. That's it. Now I'm not worried, mostly because I'm carefree to a fault bordering on irresponsible, but also because planning the trip as I go along keeps it flexible.
That being said, my better judgement leads me to believe I should get a second opinion from people who have actually done this before. So if you have any advice on something I need to do ASAP, personal experiences you'd like to share, or think I need a full on "come to Jesus" moment, I'm all ears, or eyes I guess.
Information you might find useful. I'm 25., I have about 3,000 usd saved for this trip (hopefully it'll be 3,500 by the time I leave). Only appointments I have set in stone, are PSG vs Celtic in Paris on 11/22, and Chelsea vs Swansea in London on 11/29, and my flights to and from home.
