Casual Button Downs
There are a lot of recommendations for wool and prince, as well as outlier button downs, but I find these to be too dressy. Similarly, so many technical fabric button downs are hideous with bulging chest pockets and the like which make them unappealing for daily travel use.
First of all, are there any recommendations for stylish casual button downs? The closest thing I've found is the prana ascension, Patagonia el ray, and the ice breaker departure plaids, but they are still somewhat unstylish.
Furthermore, Merino wool smells just as bad as anything else on me and wrinkles the same as other fabrics. I'm wondering if cotton button downs are as good as anything I'm going to get anywhere else. I think that drying time differences are overexaggerated since they all dry at a similar rate. Fabric thickness has more to do with drying speed than fabric.
