Best District/area to stay in Vienna, Austria for the Christmas Markets/Nightlife?
Hey guys,
I'm planning on going to Vienna for about week in December (probably around the 2nd week) for the first time. I'm a 27 year old guy from the US, so as much as I want to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Christmas season, I also want to enjoy the bars and club scene.
So first, any advice on what area/district to stay in that's easily accessible by walking or public transport to see a lot of the main "touristy" attractions during the day as well as the bars and clubs? I know district 1 or the Inner City is the best, but its also the priciest so maybe an area just outside of that is fine with me.
And second, well, which bars/clubs and attractions do you guys suggest someone going to Vienna for the first time must while there? Since I'll be there for a week, my plan is to see a different "tourist" attraction each day, and then at night explore the bars.
