Where in SE Asia to solo travel for 2 weeks?

I'm planning a 2 week trip to SE Asia in January and a am looking for advice on countries/areas to concentrate on. I'd like to spend a little over a week traveling around seeing cool temples, cities, national parks, and then a few days hanging out on an island where I can snorkel clear water, swim, and rent a moped to see the local sights.

For this trip, I'm looking for:

-easy to meet fellow travelers and locals as I'll be solo

-delicious, cheap food

-at least a few days on an island or beach location where I can snorkel, swim, and rent a moped to see the local sights.

-good nightlife, but doesn't need to be crazy like full moon party

Southern Thailand seems like a natural fit, although I've already spent time in Phuket (disliked), Ko Phangan (liked exploring the island by moped, Ko Phi Phi (loved), and Bangkok. I've also been to Singapore, Angkor Wat/Siem Reap, Kuala Lumpur, and Malacca.

If it matters, I'm 29 and am more of a "flashpacker" than a true backpacker. Since I only have 2 weeks away from my job, I can afford to pay for cool experiences, transit, and up to $50 or so on average for accomodation (prefer hostels, and am fine staying in a $5 cheap room, but can splurge if needed).

Should I look at another Thai island? Any recommendations in the Philippines, Indonesia, or somewhere else? Thanks!
