Here in Cologne until Friday and I'm pretty sure I've seen enough of the city today... I was thinking of going to Dortmund tomorrow and maybe Dusseldorf on Thursday, but am reading boring descriptions of every city close to Cologne. I'm a big fan of Dortmund's football team so that's why I want to go there - tour the stadium and whatnot. I haven't done much hiking on my Euro trip and this would be my last chance to do anything.

I've come across Bonn and Aachen frequently suggested day trips. Remagen looks pretty unique and cool from those two cities. Any others that I should at least consider?

To give a sense of what I've seen on my trip, I've been to Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Salzburg and Munich already.
