Weekend solo sightseeing day trips in & around Chongqing, China
Hey everyone,
Really trying to get out of the house a little more. Away from the binge drinking nightlife, dirty dancing weekends and spend some time travelling/sightseeing less urban areas.
I live in Chongqing, China and would be willing to travel between 2 - 3 hours by train but don't know much about any interesting locations.
I have a few ideas in and out of Chongqing but would appreciate any further input.
- Chengdu - General day tours and to see the pandas. Checking out Leshan for the giant buddha too
- Xi'an - Hiking up Huashan on their cliffside pathway
- Dazu - Rock carvings
- Wulong park/mountain - General nature appreciation and sight seeing
- Yunnan - Heard it is a beautiful and historic city
- Guilin - Read there were discounts for travelling to this region to promote tourism. Would be interesting to check out.
That's really about it. I'm interested in walking the glass bridge walkways or perhaps anything else that peaks interest.
I would appreciate any feedback on places you've been to and can recommend me to check out as well.
