US Visa help - for Malaysian friend living in UK
Hi all,
I am planning a group holiday with 9 of my friends from London to Las Vegas for a music festival event in May 2018. All of us are British except 1, whom is Malaysian.
My Malaysian friend just had her US visa application refused today because she is not married and currently unemployed. She does not have permanent residence in the UK either but she has a spouse visa with her British boyfriend and they bought an apartment together in London this year. Her boyfriend has a well paid job so finance is not an issue for them. She recently got ACCA certified a few months ago so she hasn't found a full time permanent job yet. She's lived here since 2013. Her family lives in Malaysia.
She told me the visa interviewer just asked to see her biometric card and spouse visa - then refused to see her other evidence like mortgage and current job applications.
So... if she found a job within the next couple of months, would this be enough time for her reapply for a successful US visa before May 2018? How long does she need to be employed for? Does it matter how soon she reapplies? Does it matter how many time she applies?
Getting married soon would look a bit suspicious too right?
Any advice welcome. Thanks in advanced!
Tl;dr - Malaysian friend living in UK, unmarried and unemployed - can she get a job and get a US visa by May 2018?
